Welcome to the Caribbean Association of Probation and Parole (CAPP)
It is with great pride and anticipation that we welcome you to the official website of the Caribbean Association of Probation and Parole (CAPP). Our motto, “Shaping the Future of Probation and Parole in the Caribbean”, captures both our mission and our vision to be a pioneering force for restorative justice systems that promote rehabilitation, accountability, reintegration, and public safety across the region.
Who We Are
CAPP is a professional association dedicated to empowering probation and parole officers throughout the Caribbean. We recognize that these officers are a cornerstone of the justice system, playing a vital role in reducing recidivism, supporting rehabilitation, and strengthening communities.
Our values of Integrity, Collaboration, Rehabilitation, and Cultural Sensitivity guide every initiative, partnership, and training we undertake. We are building not only a professional network but also a movement committed to positive change.
Our Journey
CAPP began with a simple recognition: probation and parole officers in the Caribbean needed a united voice. In mid-2023, informal conversations among professionals sparked a shared vision for collaboration and best practices. By early 2024, these conversations had evolved into structured planning sessions, and in September 2024, CAPP was officially launched.
Since then, we have grown steadily, expanding our membership and forming strategic partnerships across the region. What started as an idea has become a collective force, a beacon for justice reform in the Caribbean.
Our Commitment
Through advocacy, training, and research, CAPP seeks to enhance the role of probation and parole professionals while advancing restorative justice in our communities. Our goal is to ensure that every officer is equipped, supported, and empowered to deliver meaningful impact, not only in the justice system but in the lives of individuals and families they serve.
Looking Ahead
This website is more than an information hub. It is a space for connection, growth, and collaboration. Here you will find resources, updates, and opportunities to engage with our mission. We encourage you to explore, share, and become part of this growing network of professionals shaping a safer, more inclusive Caribbean.
